FAQ: What are Student Benchmarks?

Q: What are benchmarks, and how do I add them to a student record?

A: Benchmarks are curriculum-based measures that identify skills a student has mastered. They can be incremental steps or unit completion that shows student progress.

SiD has a list of generic, statewide benchmarks for Northstar Digital Literacy. They are available for all programs and can be linked to classes or added to individual student records.

Each site also has the ability to create custom benchmarks for local use.
