Q: We have some students on the Desk Audit Corrections table. But we don't offer programming at correctional facilities. How do we remove these students from the table?
A. Students in this row have a Program-NRS>Corrections history item that was in effect on July 1.
In most cases, the student is shared with another ABE program that offers classes in a correctional setting. The other program added the Corrections history item. When the student was released, the Corrections history item was not ended by the other program. Your program can add an End Date to the Corrections item.
Look at the Students>Info tab, ABE Site History section. The Last Contact column tells when a student last had hours at a shared site. Do any of the entries look like the name of a correctional facility?
• Students with attendance hours in a correctional setting since July 1 of this NRS Program year should appear on the table even if your ABE program doesn't offer classes at a correctional facility.
When a student is no longer incarcerated, add an End Date to the active Corrections history item row. Use the day before the student enrolled in your ABE program this year.
• When the student did not have hours in a correctional setting since July 1, add an End Date to the Corrections student history row. Use a date of 6/30, the last day of the prior program year.
