Use this report to identify students who need a pre-test before the upcoming NRS Program Year. It is available in May and June and can be found on the SiD Reports tab in the Data Clean-up Reports for Students, Classes section.
The report lists students who will not have a valid pre-test for the new NRS year, explains why, and suggests next steps for testing.
Why Students Appear on the Report
Students may appear for one or more of these reasons:
- They do not have a current test.
- Their current test will no longer be approved by MDE after July 1.
- Their current test will be too old to set an Entry Educational Functioning Level (EFL) for the 2026–27 NRS Program Year.
- Their current test is scored Comp(leted) ESL, which cannot be used as a pre-test.
