Create a HyFlex Class (In Person and Remote Students)

This article explains how to set up a new HyFlex class. In a HyFlex class, some students attend in person and some participate in the same class remotely via live feed. Students can choose how to participate.

Note: a HyFlex class is not the same as a hybrid class. A hybrid class includes both in-person and online components. To qualify as a hybrid class, students must participate in both parts of the class.

Create a HyFlex class

Follow the steps in General Instructions: Create a New Class, paying special attention to the fields below:

  1. Class Name: Use a consistent format that includes the word HyFlex and the content area. Examples: GED Science HyFlex or Citizenship HyFlex

  3. Student Hour Type: Select Contact

  4. Distance Learning Program: Select None
