Q: Does SiD have a report that will tell me how many students entered our program for the first time in the last 90 days?
A: There isn't currently a report that shows these students. But there is workaround using the First Entry column on the Students tab.
The First Entry column shows the date the student was initially added* to your site's SiD database. It's based on the Students>History item Program-Entry/Exit Status>Entry date.
On the student tab, click twice on the First Entry column title to show the most recent student entry dates at the top of the column. Then manually count the students enrolled during your time period. Example: the clip below shows 4 students were added to your program during the months of Dec. and Jan.
Hint: the Students tab shows 20 student names at a time.
You can also add a search date to the First Entry column. Say today is 10/11/24. To find students who first entered in the last 3 months, type 7/11/2024 in the First Entry Search box. Click the key icon to select "Is greater than or equal to." The results will shows students who enrolled between July 11, 2024, and today.
*A student's First Entry date does not change when the student leaves your program and re-enters at a later date. Be aware that this solution won't include former students who recently returned to your site.
