When a staff person is scheduled into a class, s/he must be designated as "instructional" or "not instructional." This article explains the difference between the two terms.

- Instructional staff lead classroom instruction.
- Not Instructional staff support teachers in the classroom and never lead instruction. They work under the guidance of a teacher.
Both instructional and non-instructional staff with SiD teacher level logins have the same ability to enter attendance, tests, etc., for students in their class.
There are two minor differences:
- On the Classes tab, instructional staff are labeled as "teacher." Non-instructional staff are labeled as "staff."

- Only instructional staff will be listed on the Classes tab in the Staff column. Non-instructional staff will not.
