Q: When I run Table A and the 5 Year Comparison reports, the total hours don't match.
A: One possibility is that some students have a non-NRS history item.
Hours for non-NRS students:
- DO NOT appear on Table A.
- DO appear on the 5 Year Comparison report
To confirm:
- Run Table A. Note the total number of hours.
- Run the 5 Year Comparison report. Note the total number of hours.
- Find the difference between the totals on the 2 reports.
- Go to the Reports tab> Demographics Reports section. Run the Program Summary Data Export using contact hours year dates (May-Apr). Set the filters to include Non-NRS students, as seen below. Click View Report.
- Scroll to the right to the Non-NRS Student column. Click the sort toggle in the column title to sort the Non-NRS students to the top of the list. (Students with this entry have a Non-NRS history item.)
- Scroll back to the left to the Total Hours column. Add the Total Hours for the Non-NRS students. The sum should be close to your total from Step 3 above. There may be a difference of an hour or 2 due to rounding variations between the reports.
Note: If another program has added a Non-NRS tag, it will not appear on this report.
