Software selected pre-tests and EFLs

At the beginning of each Federal NRS year, SiD sets student Educational Functioning Levels (EFLs) based on test scores.

  • The software looks at tests given in the 12 months prior to the start of the current NRS year, which begins July 1. The most recent test in each test family/subject will be marked as a pre-test. (Students may have multiple pre-tests.)
  • For students with no valid prior year tests, the first test in each test family/subject after July 1 will serve as a pre-test for the year.
  • Students with no valid tests are marked as No EFL (Educational Functioning Level) on Table A.
