The Classes>Assessment tab has a wealth of information about tests taken by students in a class. You can also add test history for students in the class.
Use filters to narrow down the list by subject or test, to see who is eligible for testing, or who has gained a level.
Overview of the Classes>Assessment screen
To begin, select a class from the Classes tab. Then click on the Assessment tab.
A form appears at the top of the page for users who are assigned to the class as a staff person, or who have a SiD Admin level login. Use the form to quickly add tests for students in this class.
The grid at the bottom of the screen shows currently enrolled students who have a valid pre-test. It shows their most recent assessment in each test family and subject.
The top row of the grid has search boxes with filters and column sorting to help find matching test criteria.
Most columns are self-explanatory. Here are a few that may need some explanation.
- ReTest: There is a checkmark in the column if the student is eligible to re-test.
- Hours: Shows the number of attendance hours recorded since the test was taken
- Test Gain: Checked if the student has a level gain in this NRS Program year in this test family and subject
- Stu(dent) Gain: Checked if the student has a gain of some kind in this NRS Program year in this or another test family and subject
Using filters to search
You can filter by one column or multiple columns to perform detailed searches.
Examples:
- To see only one testing subject, such as reading, type "read" or "reading" in the "Subj" (subject) column search box.
- To see only CASAS Reading, type "CASAS" in the Test column search box and "read" in the Subj search box. The filtered list will show tests that match both CASAS and Reading
- To only see those who meet the 40+ hours rule and are eligible for another test, select "Checked" from the ReTest column menu.
Click the blue Reset button to clear all search criteria.
