The Level Gains, MSG and Post-test Rates report has a known issue. It affects the Is IET and Is Wkpl Lit columns in the "double-check" table to the right of the main table.
The Problem
Students with zero hours in IET or Workplace Lit-tagged classes will be counted when they have a total of 12+ hrs in other classes. Those students have the potential to be incorrectly assigned MSGs 3, 4, and 5 even though with zero hours they could not have earned the MSGs.
The solution
Exit the student from the IET/WPL class with zero hours. Important ---> Select an Exit Type of "removed." This Exit Type will prevent the student from being counted as IET/Wkpl Lit students on this report.
Example
To see a larger image, right click the image below and select "Open Image in New Tab"
Note: Do not use an Exit Type of ‘Removed’ for students who have more than zero hours in an IET or Workplace Literacy class. If ‘Removed’ is used, the student will not display MSG 3, 4, or 5 on the Level Gains & MSGs report.
